ANALYSIS
McFarland spent the bulk of his career in the AHL, where he logged 199 games and racked up 39 goals, 42 helpers and 84 PIM. The winger was drafted 33rd overall in the 2010 NHL Draft by the Panthers, but saw action in just three NHL games for the club back in 2015-16.

McFarland recorded five goals and nine assists in 43 games with AHL San Antonio last season, and has yet to make his NHL debut. If he suits up for the Panthers this year, it probably won't be for more than a couple spot starts.
McFarland was the Panther's 33rd overall draft pick in this year's draft. He can set up teammates for scores and trigger the lamp on his own. He'll lace his skates for a third season with the Sidbury Wolves of the OHL in 2010-11.
