John Quenneville

Quenneville now has 33 games of NHL experience under his belt over parts of three seasons, in which he's produced just five points. The cousin of Panthers coach Joel Quenneville and nephew (in law) of Islanders defenseman Johnny Boychuk has plenty of hockey acumen in his family, but the 2014 first-rounder has been unable to build any momentum at the top level despite scoring at a high rate in the AHL. Quenneville has 119 points in 138 AHL appearances, including 39 points in 37 games last season, but he's not going to stick with the big club unless he starts translating that minor-league success to more NHL offense.

Quenneville's appeared in 14 games with the Devils since being selected 30th overall in the 2014 draft, notching a goal and three assists over that brief time in the league. The second cousin of Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville has displayed decent offensive aptitude at the AHL level, posting 14 goals in each of his two seasons there while totaling 80 points in 101 games. He'll compete for a bottom-six role with the big club in camp.
