Jonathan Racine

Racine fits the mold of a defense-first blueliner. In 70 games last season for AHL San Antonio, Racine didn’t score a single goal while adding just seven assists. Instead, he chose to make his mark as an agitator, racking up 149 penalty minutes and a plus-8 rating. With a crowded field ahead of him, Racine will likely need more time in the AHL before getting the call as a full-time NHL defenseman, if he ever makes it to that point. Should he eventually receive an extended call-up with the Panthers, Racine's lack of point production at any level of hockey should put a damper on his fantasy prospects.
