				  Heading to Swiss League
Dauphin, who finished the 2022-23 campaign with an upper-body injury, signed a one-year contract with Ambri-Piotta of Switzerland's National League on Thursday.
				  ANALYSIS
Dauphin's contract also includes a club option to extend the deal for a second season. The 28-year-old forward had one point (a goal) in 21 contests with Arizona in 2022-23. Through 94 career NHL games, Dauphin has contributed eight goals and 17 points. He was set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, so the Coyotes no longer possess his NHL rights.

It's been quite the whirlwind for Dauphin in the early stages of his career, as he's only appeared in 34 games at hockey's highest level. A draft-day trade to Chicago following the 2016-17 campaign added a temporary wrinkle of discontinuity in charting his progress, and Dauphin will need a substantial offensive jolt to improve upon his 0.52 points-per-game pace -- accrued over 158 AHL games between Rockford and Tucson -- before one can realistically expect him to work full-time in the NHL. Still, the Yotes reacquired “Flipper” in the Anthony Duclair trade last January and re-signed him to a one-year, two-way deal, so he should at least be a more consistent depth option for the young club this time around.

				  Should get promotion soon
Craig Morgan of PHNX Sports expects Dauphin to be called up from AHL Tucson in the near future.
				  ANALYSIS
Dauphin, who was recently named AHL Player of the Week, has gotten off to a great start in the minors this season, having racked up five goals and eight points through eight games. If and when he makes his season debut for the Coyotes, Dauphin should slot into a bottom-six role.
