Grebenkin may not be ready for the start of 2026-27 after an upper-body injury cost him the last 13 games of the regular season as well as all of the Flyers' postseason run. The forward had four goals, 10 assists, 32 shots on net, 86 hits, 46 PIM and a minus-7 rating over 55 appearances as a rookie in 2025-26. Grebenkin is no longer waiver-exempt, so there is some risk if the Flyers aren't satisfied with where he's at to begin 2026-27. Grebenkin registered 12 goals and 28 points in 50 AHL regular-season games between Toronto and Lehigh Valley in 2024-25. He added three helpers and four points in seven playoff outings with the Phantoms. Philadelphia acquired Grebenkin from the Maple Leafs on March 7. The 22-year-old forward didn’t earn a point in seven NHL appearances, but he made an impact by collecting 13 hits. Grebenkin could get a look as a bottom-six forward with the Flyers in the 2025-26 campaign, and his hard-nosed style could make him a pickup option in banger leagues.
