Marleau returns to the Sharks after he was traded away to Pittsburgh at last year's trade deadline. Marleau managed 22 points in 66 contests last year, but it's clear his offense is fading to non-viable levels for fantasy managers. The 41-year-old forward will likely fill a bottom-six role for the rebuilding Sharks in 2020-21, and he'll have a tough time reaching 20 points in the shortened season with a lackluster supporting cast around him. He also had just one power-play point last year, which further limits his scoring production. Most fantasy managers should avoid Marleau on draft day.

				  Making decision on future
Marleau will make an announcement regarding the future of his hockey career Tuesday, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
				  ANALYSIS
After not playing during the 2021-22 season, it sounds like Marleau might be ready to officially announce his retirement. If that's the case, the 42-year-old will close up shop on a terrific 23-year NHL career in which he tallied 566 goals, 1,197 points and 1,035 hits with the Sharks, Maple Leafs and Penguins. He also played 910 consecutive games, good for the fifth-longest streak in league history. The future Hall of Fame forward last played during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring nine points in 56 appearances.
