Signs entry-level contract
Hutson signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Oilers on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Hutson spent this season with Boston University and recorded 23 goals, 27 assists and 33 PIM over 38 appearances while helping to lead the team to the Frozen Four. His entry-level contract will begin this season, and he was with the Oilers during Monday's morning skate, so he should have a chance to work with the NHL club late in the regular season.

Making NHL debut
Hutson will make his NHL debut against the Kings on Monday, Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels reports.
ANALYSIS
Hutson signed with the Oilers after Boston University lost in the Frozen Four title game to Western Michigan University on Saturday. In his 38 games with the Terriers this year, the 23-year-old winger notched 23 goals and 27 assists. If he can bring some offensive upside to the Oilers, the Illinois native could offer decent depth scoring to close out the regular season. Per Mark Spector of Sportsnet, Hutson is not eligible for postseason games because he was not on the Oilers' reserve list prior to the trade deadline.
