Da Costa re-signed Wednesday with CSKA Moscow on a two-year contract, Igor Eronko of Sports.ru reports.
ANALYSIS
After a productive 2013-14 campaign with the Senators' AHL affiliate in Birmingham, Da Costa bolted for the KHL last summer. He immediately made his mark in Russia, tallying 30 goals and 32 assists in 46 games to finish second in the league in scoring. Still only 25 years old, Da Costa could make his way back to North America once his commitment to CSKA expires.

Da Costa put together an impressive season with AHL Binghamton last season, racking up 18 goals, 40 assists, and a plus-19 rating in 56 games with the team. That production didn't translate well to the NHL, though, as the center managed just three goals and an assist in 12 appearances with the Senators. The team is certainly hoping for more out of the 25-year-old this season, and there's a good chance he'll make the team out of training camp. If he can find his scoring touch against the tougher competition, Da Costa could be a sleeper that turns a good fantasy roster into a great one.

Da Costa isn't expected to be offered a one-way contract by the Senators, which means he'll likely end up in the KHL next season, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
