Tony Sund

Sund signed a one-year contract with the Sharks in May of 2019, with the entry-level deal serving as a proving ground for the left-shot defenseman who's fresh off a 35-point campaign representing Sport Vaasa of SM-liiga. Sharks GM Doug Wilson reportedly is impressed by Sund's vision, and that lends credence to the notion that the 24-year-old could get a look at the top level at some point this season. However, a spot on the Opening Night roster is far less likely since Team Teal has all of its defensive regulars under contract for at least one more year. Sund is a true wild-card as he embarks upon his professional career in North America.
