Rask is a risk -- there's no other way to describe it. His numbers last season were supreme (28-8-6, 5 SO, 2.12 GAA, .929 save percentage) and he and the Bruins were poised to make a run for the Cup. But Rask put family ahead of hockey and bolted the bubble during the playoffs. The team said all the right things and now continue to do the same, but no one really knows for sure if he'll return. Or if he does, if he'll stay. Even if he plays, Rask will need to be near perfect with David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand poised to miss the start of the season, Torey Krug long gone and Zdeno Chara looking, well, like he's about to turn 44. He has one year left on his contract and has already spoken about possible retirement after 2020-21. Draft Rask if you're feeling lucky, but avoid him if you can't stand risk.

Considering future
Rask is working in a corporate role with the Bruins and could consider a future in coaching, Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Rask's attempt at a comeback from a hip injury this season ended in February, but the career Bruin has stayed with the organization. The Finn will likely be given every opportunity he wants to try his hand in a variety of roles with the only NHL team he played for in his career.
