Ville Ottavainen

Ottavainen had three goals, 15 points and 41 PIM in 68 regular-season appearances with AHL Coachella Valley in 2024-25, and he made his NHL debut with Seattle on April 15, registering an assist, three hits and a block in his lone game with the Kraken. While it’s nice that he showed up on the scoresheet during his debut, the towering 23-year-old blueliner is known more for his defensive work, so don’t expect him to be a big point producer if he does stick in the NHL eventually. That’s more of a long-term consideration, though, because in the short run, Ottavainen is projected to continue to develop in the minors. Read Past Outlooks
