ANALYSIS
To begin the season, Perreault was penciled in as a potential top six forward for the Hawks, but the emergence of younger options including Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane quickly relegated him to varying assignments between the third and fourth line. He could find a new home for a club looking for help in the form of a face-off specialist, but Perrault's unlikely to return to the Windy City with the Hawks seeking an elite blueliner and another scoring winger this summer.

This will be Perreault’s sixth stop in a long career. The Hawks brought him in because of his uncanny ability of winning face-offs as he’s led the NHL the last seven years, and to work with the younger players. The Hawks are hoping for Perreault to put up the numbers that he had with Nashville right after the strike which career numbers, 22 goals and 35 assists. Expect numbers below that figure.

Perreault's best years are behind him, but he comes to camp with the Predators looking to prove that he can still contribute as an offensive center. Assuming he makes the team, he should end up with some interesting linemates alongside him -- don't overlook him in the late rounds of your draft.
