Motter had only appeared in 10 games for the Heroes this season, missing nearly two weeks to be with his wife during her mandatory quarantine period. He'd only been back with the team for four days before being waived, though it's hard to say he'd shown much promise this season, posting a .114/.135/.200 slash line. Other KBO teams have one week to claim him, but they would have to waive their current foreign hitter to do so, which seems unlikely given his numbers. Motter may have already played his last game in the league.
