Dominates in the main event of #Bellator210
MiddleweightBellator
November 30, 2018
Salter defeated Chidi Njokuani via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:32 of Round 1 at Bellator 210 on Friday in Thackerville, Okla.
ANALYSIS
Salter took this fight on short notice, but that did not turn out to matter at all. Even after an extensive MMA career, Njokuani is still mostly a kickboxer. Salter is an above average grappler, and it showed in this fight. He scored a quick takedown, took the back and finished with the rear-naked choke. If Salter had won his last fight, he might have earned the next crack at the Bellator middleweight title. With this win, he moves closer to that opportunity.

Falls victim to a submission from Rafael Lovato Jr. at Bellator 205
MiddleweightBellator
September 21, 2018
Salter lost to Rafael Lovato Jr. via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:27 of Round 3 at Bellator 205 on Friday in Boise, Idaho.
ANALYSIS
Even though Salter is a respectable grappler, he needed to keep this fight off the ground to be successful. He was able to do it for most of the first two rounds. The striking battle was mostly even, but things were going well for Salter. However, in the third round, Lovato scored a takedown and went to work on the ground. He was able to pass, take the back and win via submission. Salter had won five-straight fights in Bellator prior to this loss.

MiddleweightBellator
March 7, 2018
Salter is scheduled to fight Rafael Lovato at Bellator 198 on April 28, Luke Thomas of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Salter, who's quickly rising up the middleweight ranks, is coming off an impressive victory over Jason Radcliffe from last November when the 32-year-old defeated Radcliffe via first-round submission on a rear-naked choke. However, he'll be in for a tough fight against Lovato, who's currently undefeated in MMA and 3-0 within Bellator competition.
Improves to 5-0 in Bellator with first-round submission in Israel

November 17, 2017
Salter defeated Jason Radcliffe via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:55 of Round 1 at Bellator 188 on Thursday in Tel Aviv, Israel.
ANALYSIS
It took Salter a long time to make it back to a major promotion after washing out of the UFC in 2010. He has certainly made the most of his time in Bellator. With this victory, he improves to 5-0 in the promotion, and he is quickly rising up the middleweight ladder. After eating a leg kick early, Salter changed levels and pushed Radcliffe up against the cage. From there he scored the takedown easily and moved to the back. Salter remained patient, waited for an opening to sink the choke and finished the fight. Salter improved his professional record to 15-3.
Wins fourth fight in a row at Bellator 181
MiddleweightBellator
July 14, 2017
Salter defeated Kendall Grove via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:37 of Round 1 at Bellator 181 on Friday in Thackerville, Okla.
ANALYSIS
Salter came into this fight riding a three-fight winning streak in Bellator. He extended that streak with an impressive first-round finish over a dangerou veteran. Grove did a good job early in this fight using his reach and length to keep Salter on the outside. Late in the round, Salter was able to score a clean double-leg takedown. He quicked jumped Grove's guard and ended up in side control. This forced Grove to scramble and give up his back. Salter took the position and finished the fight with a rear-naked choke. Grove refused to tap and went out. Salter got bounced from the UFC in 2010 after going 1-2 for that promotion. Years later, he has turned around his career in Bellator.
Runs through Claudio Annicchiarico for TKO victory in Italy
MiddleweightBellator
December 10, 2016
Salter defeated Claudio Annichiarico via TKO (strikes) at 1:40 of Round 1 at Bellator 168 on Saturday in Florence, Italy.
ANALYSIS
Salter took his opponent down early in Round 1 before pounding his way to the TKO victory. The 31-year-old has now won five fights in a row (including his first three in Bellator), but he didn't have much of a fight here, as Annicchiarico looked to have no idea what to do on his back, and resorted to covering up when he wasn't able to control Salter's posture. Salter improves his MMA record to 13-3 with the victory, with all of his wins coming by stoppage.
