No-shows loss in Vegas
Michailidis lost to Rinat Fakhretdinov via unanimous decision (26-30, 26-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Michailidis was overwhelmed from start to finish, and the only positive thing you can say about his afternoon is that he managed to see the final bell. He looked fine in the extremely rare instances in which he wasn't being dominated by the debuting Fakhretdinov on the mat, but it's impossible to win a decision when you are controlled for 13 minutes of a 15-minute bout. Michailidis has shown virtually nothing in his first four UFC bouts, sporting a 1-3 record, including two knockout defeats and this extremely lopsided unanimous decision loss. It's far from a guarantee that the 33-year-old gets another opportunity with the company.

ANALYSIS
Michailidis is coming off a defeat by TKO to Alex Pereira back in early November. He was doing solid prior to that, but dropped to 1-2 with the UFC. Fakhretdinov has a 20-2 career record, but will be making his UFC debut.

Finished by Alex Pereira
Michailidis lost to Alex Pereira via TKO (strikes) at 0:18 of Round 2 at UFC 268 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
The first round couldn't have gone any better for the +225 underdog. He used his cardio and wrestling game to subdue the debuting Pereira, but the roof caved in early in Round 2 when Michailidis ducked down and allowed Pereira to land a flying knee flush to his face. Michailidis was clearly done immediately, but referee Dan Miragliotta forced him to absorb a few more shots before officially pulling the plug. Michailidis, now 33 years of age, has looked like nothing more than roster depth since joining the UFC in July 2020. He is 1-2 with the company.

Earns first UFC victory
Michailidis defeated K.B. Bhullar via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Considering Bhullar's struggles, it's disappointing Michailidis was able to get the finish. Still, it was a nice effort on the heels of his TKO loss to Modestas Bukauskas in his UFC debut last July. Michailidis has proven to be effective in short bursts. He has legitimate power in addition to the ability to push the pace on his opposition if the opportunity presents itself. It was easy for him in this fight since Bhullar essentially refused to return fire. There are concerns regarding Michailidis' cardio and secondary skills, but he does a decent job of fighting to his strengths.
