New opponent in Lincoln
LightweightUFC
March 19, 2020
Patrick will no longer be facing Christos Giagos at UFC Lincoln on April 25, as he'll be replaced on the card by Frank Camacho, Dave Doyle of MMAJunkie.com reports
ANALYSIS
The UFC has postponed its next three events due to government-recommended precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but Dana White is adamant that UFC 249 -- scheduled for April 18 -- will go on as planned, albeit at an unspecified location. The card in Lincoln is scheduled for a week later, so while it may no longer take place in the state of Nebraska, the UFC is scheduling it as if it will indeed take place. As for the fight, Patrick is coming off a loss to Scott Holtzman that snapped a three-fight winning streak, while Camacho enters with a 2-4 record under the UFC banner, most recently losing to Beneil Dariush via first-round submission. Patrick will own slight height and reach advantages, in addition to superior offensive wrestling, but Camacho lands over triple the striking volume, even if he's a bit reckless at times.

Patrick will take on Christos Giagos at UFC Lincoln on April 25, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Patrick will fight for the first time since getting knocked out by Scott Holtzman back in October of 2018, a match in which he fractured his orbital. The loss dropped his UFC record to 5-2. Giagos is coming off a loss as well, falling to Drakkar Klose by unanimous decision in August to drop his UFC record to 3-4.
Dealing with possible fractured orbital
LightweightUFC
October 9, 2018
Patrick has been suspended 180 days by the Nevada Athletic Commission pending a physician clearance of a left orbital fracture, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Entering this fight, Patrick had been a betting favorite on a three-fight winning streak. He was nearly tripled up in the striking department by Holtzman, however, who landed 55 of his 73 significant strikes to the head, as well as 40 total ground strikes. Holtzman got stronger as the fight went on, and dealt damage significant enough that Patrick could be on the shelf until April 5, pending medical clearance.
Finished by Scott Holtzman Saturday in Vegas
LightweightUFC
October 6, 2018
Patrick lost to Scott Holtzman via KO (elbows) at 3:42 of Round 3 at UFC 229 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Patrick has been with the UFC for five years but he has fought just seven times during that span. When you battle injuries to that extent, you can't have off nights like the Brazilian did on Saturday. Patrick landed just 19 total strikes over the course of the bout and he failed on all six of his takedown attempts. All this while entering the night as a -320 favorite. Patrick needs to get back on the horse ASAP.

Patrick will fight Scott Holtzman in a lightweight matchup at UFC 229 in Las Vegas on Oct. 6, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Patrick recently returned to fighting back in February, where he defeated Damir Hadzovic via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 125. It was his first fight since September of 2016, but the 25-year-old was still able to boost his UFC record to 5-1 and boasts a 15-1 record overall. His opponent, Holtzman, is looking to follow up a flawless 2017, where he won two fights via unanimous decision. Patrick opened as a (-245) betting favorite for the matchup.
Uses his takedown game to best Damir Hadzovic at UFC Fight Night
LightweightUFC
February 3, 2018
Patrick defeated Damir Hadzovic via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Belem, Brazil
ANALYSIS
Patrick is not afraid to use his wrestling to win fights, and that was the case again here. Hadzovic could not stop his takedowns, so he continually went to them over and over during the fight. On a few occasions, Hadzovic threatened with takedowns, but Patrick was able to escape and continue to push the pace from the top. This was Patrick's first fight since 2016, and he picks up his 15th professional win.
