Fighting Montano in Sacramento
BantamweightUFC
Out
May 14, 2019
McMann will take on Nicco Montano in a bantamweight matchup at UFC Sacramento on July 13.
ANALYSIS
McMann has lost her past two fights in the second round, each via submission, but don't count the 38-year-old out just yet. She had been on a three-fight winning streak prior to that skid, and has shared the cage with three former champions over the course of her career (though all resulted in defeat). This time around, McMann will welcome Nicco Montano up to the bantamweight division, and hold a one-inch advantage in both height and reach. Montano had previously been scheduled for a title shot at flyweight but was unable to make the weight without complications, resulting in a move up in weight class. While McMann has been with the UFC since the introduction of women's divisions, her time could very well be nearing a close if she loses her third consecutive fight.

McMann announced Wednesday morning that she is three months pregnant, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
One thing McMann made clear is that this is not a retirement announcement. She had planned to take the time off anyway to attended to shoulder injuries sustained in her back-to-back losses, and the timing simply lined up right. She currently sits as the No. 8-ranked female bantamweight on the UFC.com rankings, and with her current timeline, could fight again before mid-2019 if she chooses to.
Suffers shocking loss to Marion Reneau Saturday
BantamweightUFC
Out
February 24, 2018
McMann lost to Marion Reneau via submission (triangle choke) at 3:40 of Round 2 at UFC on FOX 28 on Saturday in Orlando.
ANALYSIS
What a disaster. This may very well be the most disappointing loss of McMann's UFC career and that would be saying something. She nearly stopped Reneau in Round 1, a round in which McMann almost certainly won by a 10-8 count. Less than four minutes later she was tapping out to a triangle choke. McMann keeps herself in terrific shape and her wrestling game remains as strong as ever, but there are stretches in virtually every single one of her fights where she gets lazy and puts herself in danger. Saturday it ended up costing her the bout. We all know McMann has shown no ability to win a big fight, but now she is losing to fringe top-ten fighters such as Reneau. She might be done at age 37.
Gets Marion Reneau in Orlando

January 18, 2018
McMann is now in line to face Marion Reneau on Feb. 24 in Orlando after Yana Kunitskaya was forced to withdraw due to injury, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
McMann had been riding a three-fight winning streak before having it snapped against Ketlen Vieira in September, but will get the opportunity to bounce back against the 40-year-old Reneau. McMann's best path to victory will be to get this fight to the ground and work her submission game, though it's worth noting her Brazilian opponent has never been submitted in her professional career.
Will take on Yana Kunitskaya in February

McMann will face Yana Kunitskaya at UFC on FOX 28 on Feb. 24, Shaun Al-Shatti of MMAFighitng.com reports.
ANALYSIS
McMann is coming off a disappointing defeat at the hands of Ketlen Vieira via submission (arm triangle) in early September at UFC 215 in Edmonton. The 37-year-old will look to regain momentum against UFC-newcomer Kunitskaya, who recently held the Invitcta FC bantamweight belt after defeating Raquel Pa'aluhi in August. Overall, McMann holds an 11-4 career record, and won her previous three outings prior to the loss in Edmonton.
