Starts slow in loss
WelterweightUFC
June 20, 2020
Good lost to Belal Muhammad via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Good came with the heavy artillery in Round 3, but he was so ineffective over the first ten minutes that it was too little, too late. Good entered with a significant power and size advantage over Muhammad, but he was too busy loading up on every single shot to land consistent combinations. He landed just 40 significant strikes in Rounds 1 and 2 compared to 48 in the final frame alone. Good has some quality traits, but he's never been able to put it all together and his age (35 last month) is working against him. The New York native has alternated wins and losses over the course of his first six UFC bouts.

Slated for June 20
WelterweightUFC
May 21, 2020
Good will take on Belal Muhammad in a welterweight matchup at a yet-to-be-determined location June 20, Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA reports.
ANALYSIS
This is an interesting booking, as it was reported in April that Good tested positive for COVID-19, and he'll be the first known fighter to compete following a positive test. Good has alternated wins and losses since joining the UFC in 2015, most recently defeated Chance Rencountre via strikes in the third round at UFC 244 last November. He'll take on one of the company's most well-respected unranked welterweight, and one who has won six of his last seven fights under the UFC banner. Good owns a big edge in striking volume over a smaller sample size, but Muhammad is arguably the more well-rounded martial artist, and he'll bring advantages in takedown volume and takedown defense to the Octagon.
Tests positive for coronavirus
WelterweightUFC
April 20, 2020
Good revealed in an interview Monday with Ariel Helwani of ESPN.com that he tested positive for COVID-19.
ANALYSIS
Back on April 4, Good elected to withdraw from his fight against Belal Muhammad at UFC 249 for an unspecified reason, but the 34-year-old is now willing to provide an explanation behind the decision. Good becomes the first active UFC fighter to publicly reveal that he tested positive for the coronavirus, though he noted that he's since made a full recovery. It's unclear when he'll look to fight again.
Withdraws from UFC 249 with injury
WelterweightUFC
April 4, 2020
Good has been scratched from UFC 249 because of an injury, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The specifics of Good's injury remain unclear and his scheduled opponent, Belal Muhammad, doesn't have an opponent immediately lined up. Good took home a victory in his last fight at UFC 244 versus Chance Recountre, but will now need to wait a while for another chance to take to the octagon. UFC 249 remains without a location for the event, but Dana White expects the event to go on as planned.
Slated for UFC 249
WelterweightUFC
February 11, 2020
Good will fight Belal Muhammad at UFC 249 on April 18 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie reports.
ANALYSIS
Good impressed in his last fight, defeating Chance Recountre by TKO in the second round at UFC 244 on Nov. 2. Good will likley not have it easy Brooklyn, however, with Muhammad entering the matchup winning six of his last seven fights.
Destroys Chance Rencountre
WelterweightUFC
November 2, 2019
Good defeated Chance Rencountre via TKO (punches) at 2:03 of Round 2 at UFC 244 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Easy work. Fighting in his native New York in front of family and friends, Good simply overwhelmed his opponent. Good did whatever he wanted to offensively and didn't have to worry about Rencountre returning fire. When all was said and done, Good landed 73 total strikes compared to just 23 from Rencountre. When Good is at his best, he looks like a title contender. Unfortunately he has really struggled with consistency throughout his time with the company. Five fights into his UFC career, the 34-year-old Good has now alternated wins and losses in each bout.
