In a fight in which the two men combined to spend more than five years on the sidelines, it was Perez who emerged victorious and likely saved his job in the process. It didn't come easy. It was a concerning development, but Perez -- who has an solid all-around game -- won a positional battle during a scramble in the latter stages of Round 2 and was able to secure the submission win. Meanwhile, though, he'll walk away with one of four $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses for his efforts.
