Handed 16-month suspension
LightweightUFC
May 31, 2019
Gorgees has been banned for 16 months by the USADA for a positive test for steroid metabolites and has been released from the UFC, Marc Raimondi of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Gorgees lost his debut fight in the UFC in December and hadn't been scheduled for another one since then, likely due to the impending suspension. His suspension was reduced eight months from a possible two-year ban, but there's a chance he will never fight in the UFC again.

No-shows UFC debut Saturday
LightweightUFC
December 1, 2018
Gorgees lost to Damir Ismagulov via unanimous decision (25-30, 26-30, 26-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Adelaide, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Gorgees' UFC debut was one to forget. He landed just 22 total strikes over the course of the 15-minute bout and he was overwhelmed by Ismagulov throughout the course of the fight. The 23-year-old Aussie will probably get a second opportunity with the company, but there's nothing to see here.
