Andreas Stahl

Stahl lost to Santiago Ponzinibbio via TKO (punches) at 4:25 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Thursday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Stahl's first fight in 502 days did not go well. As terrific UFC analyst Brian Stann mentioned correctly on the broadcast, Stahl has this terrible habit of covering up when he gets pinned up along the fence. He doesn't attempt to slide out of the way and he doesn't bother to throw anything in return. The end result was him being hammered for the nine-plus minutes that the fight lasted. Stahl is a good wrestler, but his striking is so poor that he has no shot of beating anyone remotely talented.

Stahl (+165) is the underdog for his welterweight fight against Santiago Ponzinibbio that will take place Thursday at UFC Fight Night 80 in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Stahl was handed his first career defeat at his UFC debut back in July, but the 27-year-old Swede will look to get back in the win column Thursday. The two fighters measure up nearly identically in what projects to be a relatively close contest.
