Elmose lost to Amanda Cooper via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
ANALYSIS
In the first round, Elmose had the advantage. She routinely beat Cooper to the punch and floored her. Cooper got a solid takedown in the second round and did work from the top. In the third round, Elmose could not get back to her striking and dropped the decision. This was Elmose's first strawweight fight in the UFC after making her debut as a bantamweight last May. At the new weight, she seemed much more effective, but this was still a loss and she will face much tougher fighters in the division.

Elmose lost to Germaine de Randamie via TKO (knees) at 3:46 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Sunday in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
ANALYSIS
Poor Anna never had a chance in her UFC debut. Taking the fight on short notice in enemy territory, Elmose did the best she could, but she was just overwhelmed, mostly by a serious of brutal knees. Stepping up on short notice certainly earned Elmose some bonus points in the eyes of the UFC brass, so it would be a shock if she doesn't get another opportunity with the company. There is no reason to believe that she is a legitimate prospect, but she was placed in an almost impossible situation on Sunday.
