Struggles once again in Bellator
FeatherweightBellator
April 14, 2017
Taylor lost Adam Borics via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:12 of Round 1 at Bellator 177 on Friday in Budapest.
ANALYSIS
For the second fight in a row, Bellator brought in Taylor to fight an up-and-coming prospect in his hometown. Just like at Bellator 169, Taylor struggled to show anything. Borics was a much better striker, and it was evident from the opening bell. The hometown fighter stunned Taylor late in the first round and finished via submission. "Prettyboy" will likely receive his pink slip after this fight unless Bellator decides to match him against another European prospect.

Taylor lost to James Gallagher via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:52 of Round 3 at Bellator 169 on Friday in Dublin.
ANALYSIS
Taylor came into this fight with a 1-1 record as a professional after finishing his amateur run with a 4-6 record. Despite that, he looked like a legitimate challenge for Gallagher, who is considered a heralded prospect. Ultimately, Taylor gave up his back in scramble and fell victim to a rear-naked choke. He is still developing as fighter. It will be interesting to see if he can come of age in a major league promotion.
