Lashley defeated Josh Appelt via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:43 of round 2 at Bellator 162 on Friday in Memphis, Tenn.
ANALYSIS
The first round looked just like Lashley's last few fights only without the finish. It was clearly a 10-8 round and probably should have been stopped. Lashley appeared tired to start the second and Appelt came out throwing. However, Lashley grabbed a guillotine that forced Appelt to retreat to the ground. From there, Lashley went back to work and eventually finished with a rear-naked choke submission. Lashley has now picked up five-straight finishes, and he has eight-career submission victories. Bellator clearly has plans for Lashley going forward in their heavyweight division.

Bobby Lashley: Victorious at Bellator 145
HeavyweightBellator
November 6, 2015
Lashley defeated James Thompson via TKO (Punches) at 0:54 of Round 1 at Bellator 145 on Friday in St. Louis, Missouri.
ANALYSIS
After a few wild swings, Lashley went in for a shot 10 seconds into the bout; the "Dominator" would keep the fight on the ground, pummeling the shopworn Thompson with uncontested blows until referee Mike Englund stepped in to stop the contest. Requiring under a minute to dispatch his opponent, Lashley has proven himself a worthy contender in Bellator's scant heavyweight division.
Bobby Lashley: Runs Through Dan Charles Friday
HeavyweightBellator
June 19, 2015
Lashley defeated Dan Charles via TKO at 4:14 of Round 2 at Bellator 138 on Friday in St. Louis.
ANALYSIS
This one was never in doubt. Lashley embarrassed Charles, rag dolling him over the cage until John McCarthy mercifully stepped in and put an end to it. Lashley is 38-years-old and best known for his professional wrestling days, but he's one of the strongest guys in the heavyweight division and that should give him a chance in most fights. It remains to be seen what he can do against better competition. Bellator management is certainly hoping he's for real because he's extremely marketable.
