Remains winless in UFC career

Huachin lost to Jose Quinonez via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
Quinonez is a competent opponent, but this was a highly concerning effort from Huachin. The 23-year-old had all sorts of issues limiting leg strikes from Quinonez and he allowed his opponent to score a pair of successful takedown attempts. Huachin built his name on the South American regional circuit as a knockout artist, but those power punches have been nowhere to be found in his first two UFC bouts. There's no guarantee the company gives him a third chance.

Huachin (10-4-2) is scheduled to face Jose Alberto Quinonez (7-3-0) in a bantamweight fight Sept. 21 at UFC Mexico City, Thomas Gerbasi of UFC.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Huachin returns to the Octagon in pursuit of a bounce-back performance after he was defeated soundly by Raoni Barcelos while making his promotional debut back in May at UFC 237 in Rio de Janeiro. The 23-year-old began his MMA career in 2013, fighting primarily with smaller South American-based promotions before making the jump to the UFC earlier this year.

Huachin lost to Raoni Barcelos via TKO (strikes) at 4:49 of Round 2 at UFC 237 on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
ANALYSIS
Huachin put forth a decent effort considering he was taking this fight on late notice and entered as by far the biggest underdog on the card at +700. Huachin remained tough on the feet in Round 1, but once the talented Barcelos got him to the mat, it was over. The stoppage from referee Eduardo Herdy was mired in controversy, but it's not as if Huachin was going to come back and win. His willingness to accept this fight should earn him another opportunity with the company.
Late add to UFC 237

Huachin will make his UFC debut in a bantamweight matchup against Raoni Barcelos at UFC 237 on May 11, Nolan King of Flocombat reports.
ANALYSIS
Huachin hasn't lost a professional fight since 2015, compiling a 10-3-1 record primarily through South America-based promotions. He's recorded stoppages in each of his last two fights, and six of his last seven overall. The 23-year-old will be matched up against Barcelos, a Brazilian with a 2-0 record in the UFC. It's a great opportunity for Huachin to get his name out there after accepting the fight on 10 days' notice, as a good performance might allow him to continue his stay with the company.
