Chico Camus: Cut by UFC Tuesday
FlyweightOther
December 29, 2015
Camus has been cut by the UFC and released from his contract, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Camus is just 1-3 in his last four bouts, but those three defeats have come against Henry Cejudo, Kyoji Horiguchi and Chris Holdsworth. Considering Camus is just 30-years old and is a moderately well known fighter, it's a bit of a surprise that the UFC decided to cut bait with a guy who has fought quality competition for the last year and a half. There's still plenty of flyweights on the UFC roster that Camus can beat. He will have no trouble finding work with another organization.

Chico Camus: Struggles In Unanimous Decision Loss To Chico Camus
FlyweightOther
September 26, 2015
Camus lost to Kyoji Horiguchi via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Saitama, Japan.
ANALYSIS
Camus deserves credit for continuing to step into the octagon against top fighters, but he eventually has to win one of these bouts. He struggled Saturday, coming up on the short end of a boxing match against Horiguchi. Camus is tough and has enough talent to hang with better fighters, but he doesn't have the ability to win such fights. He is 1-3 in his last four fights and the one win came via split decision.
Chico Camus: Underdog For Fight Against Kyoji Horiguchi In Japan
FlyweightOther
September 25, 2015
Camus is a heavy underdog for Saturday's flyweight bout against Kyoji Horiguchi at UFC Fight Night in Saitama, Japan.
ANALYSIS
Camus has looked considerably better since dropping down to flyweight in November of last year, but this is still a guy who is 3-3 (1NC) during his time in the UFC and outside of a split decision over Brad Pickett, Camus is yet to beat anyone of note in his career. Chico is tough as nails and he trains with a great team at Roufusport in Milwaukee, but he has an uphill climb on Saturday night.
Chico Camus: Gets Kyoji Horiguchi In September In Japan
FlyweightOther
August 8, 2015
Camus will face Kyoji Horiguchi at UFC Fight Night on September 26 in Saitama, Japan, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Camus is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Henry Cejudo in June. His fight against Horiguchi will be his third since dropping down to the flyweight division. Since making his UFC debut in August 2012, Camus is 3-3 (1NC).
Chico Camus: Drops Unanimous Decision to Henry Cejudo
FlyweightOther
June 13, 2015
Camus lost to Henry Cejudo via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 27-30 ) at UFC 188 on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
Camus somehow managed to stuff all 11 of Cejudo's takedown attempts and it still wasn't enough. Although Camus looked ok on the feet, there will still a clear speed advantage for Cejudo. Still, Camus certainly didn't embarrass himself and he definitely didn't look like a +825 underdog. He may never get into the top-10, but Camus is a legitimate top-15 flyweight.
FlyweightOther
June 8, 2015
Camus will enter Saturday's flyweight bout at UFC 188 in Mexico City as the underdog against Henry Cejudo.
ANALYSIS
Camus came away with a split-decision victory in his last bout against Brad Pickett in November, and will look to carry that momentum into Saturday's fight. He packs a tough punch and could have an advantage if both fighters stay on their feet, but may have a tough time contending with Cejudo's wrestling ability should the fight go to the ground. Camus's last four fights have went the distance, so look for him to have plenty of opportunities to land strikes and takedowns Saturday night.
