Snaps three-fight losing streak
MiddleweightUFC
March 31, 2024
Njokuani defeated Rhys McKee via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Atlantic City.
ANALYSIS
A loser of three in a row, Njokuani would have certainly been looking at a release had he come up short here. It was a low-event, boring fight, but Chidi certainly did enough to win, regardless of what one judge said. He more than doubled up McKee in terms of significant strikes (64-30) while also stuffing all seven takedowns from his opponent. Chidi will be 36 years of age on New Year's Eve and is running out of time with the company, but this victory should ensure we see him in the Octagon at least once more.

January 10, 2024
Njokuani will fight Rhys McKee at UFC Atlantic City on March 30, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
After two quick wins to begin his UFC career, Njokuani has lost his last three fights. McKee is also on a three-fight skid, so this may be Njokuani's best chance at getting back in the win column.
Losing streak hits three

Njokuani lost to Michal Oleksiejczuk via TKO (punches) at 4:16 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Singapore.
ANALYSIS
It was a wild, back-and-forth affair for as long as it lasted. Njokuani certainly landed his fair share of shots in the brief bout, but he also gave up a takedown and ate a massive right hand from Oleksiejczuk, which essentially finished him on the spot. In desperate need of a win, it would have been nice to see Njokuani fight a bit smarter or employ a different game plan, but that's not who he is. The 34-year-old has now lost three straight dating back to September 2022, including two via knockout.
Next fight booked for August

Njokuani is scheduled to fight Michal Oleksiejczuk at UFC Singapore on August 26, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Njokuani is looking to get back on track after dropping consecutive fights. He kicked off his UFC career with back-to-back knockout finishes but has since come back down to earth. Both fighters in this bout lead with a powerful strike which should set up for an action-packed match when they meet in the Octagon.
Picks up second straight loss

Njokuani lost to Albert Duraev via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC on ESPN 43 on Saturday in San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
An explosive striker by trade, Njokuani was unable to consistently create space against the aggressive Duraev. His best chance of winning this fight would have been to stand at distance and engage his opponent in a brawl, but it never materialized. Instead, Njokuani was credited with just 40 significant strikes landed over the course of the 15-minute bout. Neither man accomplished a ton over the final two rounds, but the first round clearly went to Duraev, and that was enough to doom Njokuani. The 34-year-old has now dropped his last two after winning his first two with the company.
