East lost to Walt Harris via TKO (strikes) at 4:18 of Round 1 at UFC 197 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Not all pet projects of Dana White work out successfully. East showed heavy hands and a willingness to mix it up in his UFC debut, but he ate one huge shot from Harris and he never truly recovered. The loss snapped a nine-fight winning streak for East. The UFC almost always gives fighters a second bout if they lose their debut with the company, but East did nothing on Saturday to have us excited about his future.
