Loser of three of four after setback against Scott Holtzman
Pfister lost to Scott Holtzman via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Wednesday in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
ANALYSIS
Pfister has some toughness and grit going for him, but that's about it. He always tries to rely on his wrestling background to win fights, but he went 1/9 in his takedown attempts on Wednesday. A number like that will virtually ensure that Pfister leaves with a loss. He has now lost three of his four UFC bouts. He may get one more opportunity with the company, but he's nearing the end of the line.

Pfister lost to Sage Northcutt via submission (guillotine choke) at 0:41 Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Thursday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Pfister actually scored a takedown right after the opening bell, but he did little with his two-plus minutes of top position time and as soon as referee Mark Smith decided to stand the fighters back up, Pfister was done. Pfister is always aggressive and a decent wrestler, but he brings virtually nothing else to the table. He should get another fight with the company, but Pfister is nothing more than roster depth in the lightweight division.

Pfister (+800) is a big underdog for his lightweight fight against Sage Northcutt that will take place Thursday at UFC Fight Night 80 in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Pfister expects to be at a disadvantage both physically and skills-wise in this bout. The 19-year-old Northcutt is both skilled and energetic, bringing superior power, speed and striking to this bout. Pfister may have a bit more experience in the octagon, but that may be all he has working in his favor Thursday night.

Cody Pfister: Gets next shot at Sage Northcutt in December
Pfister will face Sage Northcutt at UFC Fight Night on December 10 in Las Vegas, UFC.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pfister will get the next shot at stopping the Northcutt hype train. It seems unlikely to happen. Pfister has proven to be a well-below average striker during his brief UFC tenure and if we learned anything from Northcutt's UFC debut, it is that he can beat up an inferior opponent on the feet. Pfister is going to be a heavy underdog for this one.

Cody Pfister: Wins First UFC Bout Saturday
Pfister defeated Yosdenis Cedeno via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 189 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Pfiter got eaten up on the feet in the first round, but he turned to his wrestling skills and pulled out the final two rounds on the scorecards. He ate way too many leg kicks early on. Pfister will be in trouble if he has to face a solid wrestler. Despite the victory, he just doesn't appear to have the skills on the feet to be consistently successful in the UFC.
