Plaskett lost to Joey Davis via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26) at Bellator 201 on Friday in Temecula, Calif.
ANALYSIS
Obviously Plaskett was going to have to deal with takedowns in this fight. He simply could not stop Davis from taking him down. He did a good job defending and getting back to his feet, but he could not keep the fight standing long enough to land his offense. In the third round, Davis pulled away with his ground and pound. For a guy who lost his first two professional fights, Plaskett looked solid here early. However, Davis is simply the better prospect at this point.
