Damian Grabowski

The Polish Pitbull
Release a near certainty after third straight loss
HeavyweightUFC
July 22, 2017
Grabowski lost to Chase Sherman via unanimous decision (26-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC on FOX 25 on Saturday in Long Island, New York.
ANALYSIS
The 37-year-old Grabowski has no shot against younger, more athletic competition. He stayed active on Saturday, attempting 190 total strikes, but he landed just 36 percent of them (69) and he failed on all five of his takedown attempts. Grabowski is a gifted ground specialist that just doesn't move well enough anymore to compete in the top fighting organization in the world. A loser in all three of his UFC fights, Grabowski is almost certainly looking at a release.

May 16, 2017
Grabowki and Christian Colombo will no longer be fighting at UFC Fight Night 109 on May 28 in Stockholm.
ANALYSIS
Grabowski was scheduled to face off with Christian Colombo in the opening fight of UFC Stockholm. However, both heavyweights sustained injuries that make them unable to compete. A replacement for the fight is unknown as of Tuesday, though the promotion could elect to move on without it.
Destroyed by Anthony Hamilton at UFC 201
HeavyweightUFC
July 30, 2016
Grabowski lost to Anthony Hamilton via KO (punches) at 0:14 of Round 1 at UFC 201 on Saturday in Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
It was the kind of performance that ends up costing you your job. Grabowski was hammered from the moment the opening bell rang, which is pretty much a necessity if you plan on losing in 14 seconds. It's one thing to lose, it's another to show up to a fight completely unprepared. Grabowski has now suffered back-to-back first-round KO losses in his two UFC bouts. It would be a complete shock if he isn't released.

Grabowski lost to Derrick Lewis via TKO (punches) at 2:17 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Pretty much no man on earth is going to be able to survive repeated, undefended shots from top position from Lewis and Grabowski was no exception. Grabowski attempted to go for a takedown, but Lewis stuffed it and Grabowski was never able to recover. All in all, it was a pretty dreadful UFC debut from a guy who appeared to have some potential. He is going to get another fight with the company, but Grabowski is probably looking at a release if he comes up short in his next bout.
