Still looking for his first big league win after Bellator 198
WelterweightBellator
April 28, 2018
Stittgen lost to Mark Stoddard via submission (triangle choke) at 4:43 of Round 1 at Bellator 198 on Saturday in Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Stittgen went 0-2 for the UFC back in 2012. Since then, he has gone 5-2 on smaller shows, and he came into this bout on a three-fight winning streak. His momentum came to an end rather quickly. He had very little to offer Stoddard in the striking. He struggled for a takedown and finally landed it towards the end of the opening round. However, Stoddard used the opportunity easily catch a triangle choke and finish the fight. Stittgen might not be cut out for major league level MMA.
