Taps in Round 2
Teymur was defeated by Charles Oliveira via submission (anaconda choke) at 0:55 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on ESPN+ on Saturday in Brazil.
ANALYSIS
This fight was a clash of styles as Teymur is a former professional kickboxer and Oliveira is a BJJ ace. Teymur came out looking to strike but immediately poked Oliveira in the eye and had a point deducted. When the fight restarted Teymur was kicked in the eye and a cut opened. He dropped "Du Bronx" late in the round but could not finish the fight. In the second Teymur was hit with an up elbow from Oliveira that hurt him. The Swedish lightweight actually turned his back to the Brazilian, but the referee allowed the fight to continue. Oliveira sunk in an anaconda choke and forced the tap from Teymur.

Fight at UFC Fortaleza on tap
Teymur will clash with Charles Oliveira at UFC Fortaleza on Feb. 2, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Swedish fighter has yet to lose a fight in the UFC promotion, but this could be one of his tougher fights to date. Oliveira has won his past three fights by submission and has a one-inch advantage in both height and reach. After winning three straight fights by unanimous decision, Teymur could really move up in the UFC ranks if he can take down this experienced foe.

Remains perfect in UFC with victory Friday
Teymur defeated Nik Lentz via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Utica, New York.
ANALYSIS
Teymur's greatest asset is his ability to land power shots and get out of dodge before his opposition can return fire and that skill was on full display Friday. Despite landing just six more total strikes than Lentz (67-61), Teymur connected with the much harder, crisper shots. Teymur did appear to gas out in the final few minutes of the fight, but he had the victory in the bag at that point. The Swede is now a perfect 5-0 in the UFC and he may very well be in line for a top 10 opponent his next time out.

Eyeing appearance on Utica card
Teymur has signed a fight-fight contract with the UFC and is hoping to face Nik Lentz at UFC Utica on June 1, Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Teymur was originally scheduled to face the debuting Don Madge at UFC Liverpool on May 27, but it appears Madge had to withdraw for an undisclosed reason. Instead, the UFC is targeting a matchup against Lentz, who was scheduled to face Leonardo Santos on the Utica card but also had his opponent drop out. Teymur is 4-0 in the UFC and has landed an average of 4.81 significant strikes per minute over that span. He'll draw a seasoned vet in Lentz -- a quality next step to his hopes of joining the 155-pound rankings.

Will welcome Don Madge to UFC in Liverpool
Teymur will take on lightweight newcomer Don Madge at UFC Liverpool on May 27.
ANALYSIS
With 10 fights already announced for the Liverpool card -- headlined by Stephen Thompson vs. Darren Till -- Teymur is a relatively late addition to help round out the event. Though he's only been with the UFC since February of 2016, Teymur has already enjoyed measurable success. He's 4-0 with the promotion and holds a Fight of the Night bonus for his matchup against Lando Vannata. Teymur has won the striking battle in each of his four matchups as well. He'll welcome the debuting Madge to the octagon, a South African native sporting a 7-3 professional record.
