Picks up majority decision victory over legend BJ Penn
Siver defeated BJ Penn by majority decision (28-28, 29-28, 29-27) at UFC Fight Night 112 on Sunday in Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Siver used a high volume of strikes to keep Penn at bay for the majority of the fight. He threw many different types of kicks and that did not allow Penn to get off significant offense. The German featherweight was in trouble in the second round when he got knocked down, but he was able to recover and dominate the third round. He was very close to finishing Penn in the third round. Siver looked very good and active after a layoff of more than two years.

Over that time, Penn had two other fights fall through, and when he finally stepped into the Octagon against Yair Rodriguez, he was dismantled in swift fashion. At 38 years old, Siver will represent a much more reasonable opponent for Penn. He hasn't fought since June 2015, however, so will be out of competition for roughly two years when he steps in the octagon this summer. Siver also has just one win since 2012. it could very well be the last fight for both men.

Siver will no longer face BJ Penn at UFC 199 on June 4 in Los Angeles, as he had to withdraw from the bout due to an undisclosed injury, FOX Sports UFC reports.

He's now 36 years old and his career is definitely on the decline.
