Looking at release after third straight loss
WelterweightUFC
June 10, 2017
Steele lost to Luke Jumeau via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night 110 on Saturday in Auckland, New Zealand.
ANALYSIS
A loser of three-straight fights and sporting a 1-4 record during his time in the UFC, Steele is looking at a release. He started strong on Saturday before fading over the final 10 minutes. His iron chin was the only reason that he managed to see the final bell in the first place. Steele tries to push the pace at all costs, but we have seen time and time again that he doesn't have the necessary skills to be an effective UFC fighter.

To take on Luke Jumeau at UFC Fight Night 110
WelterweightUFC
April 30, 2017
Steele will face Luke Jumeau in a welterweight bout at UFC Fight Night 110 on June 11 at Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand, Danny Segura of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Steele is coming off back-to-back losses on unanimous decisions (Danny Roberts, Court McGee) to take on newcomer Luke Jumeau. "Non-Stop Action-Packed" has a 1-3 record with the UFC since joining in 2013, but his statistics show him to be a formidable fighter in the wrestling department. He owns a 59 percent takedown accuracy on 3.47 average attempts per 15 minutes, and a 79 percent takedown defense.
Drops decision to Court McGee in Salt Lake City
WelterweightUFC
August 7, 2016
Steele lost to Court McGee via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Salt Lake City.
ANALYSIS
It was another reasonably competent performance from Steele, although be it one that resulted in another loss on his record. Steele looked fine on the feet in this bout, but his takedown defense betrayed him, as he allowed McGee to land four takedowns over the course of the bout. Steele has an aggressive, unique style of fighting, but he doesn't excel in any one particular area. He is now 1-3 in his last four fights and is going to be fighting for his job next time out.

June 16, 2016
Steele will faceCourt McGee in a welterweight matchup at UFC Fight Night 92 in Salt Lake City on August 6.
ANALYSIS
Steele has logged significantly more time in the octagon over the last few years than his opponent, but is just 1-2 since joining the UFC in July 2015. He caught a tough break when a unanimous decision didn't go his way last April, but the skilled grappler will now look to get back on the winning track against a UFC veteran.

April 23, 2016
Steele lost to Danny Roberts via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC 197 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Steele got the far better of the grappling battle, which was no surprise giving how strong he is, but he lost the total strike battle by a count of 71-45 and he landed just two of his nine takedown attempts. Still, the fight was close and nobody would have been second guessing the judge's decision if it had been Steele who had gotten the win. Steele is now 1-2 in the UFC, although he has proven himself to be a pretty solid fighter for a guy who entered the company as a late injury replacement in July of last year.
WelterweightUFC
February 18, 2016
Steele is scheduled to face Danny Roberts in a welterweight matchup at UFC 197 on March 23 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
ANALYSIS
Steele is attempting to build momentum in the division after securing a KO victory over Dong Hyun Kim in his last appearance in the octagon in November of 2015. He'll face a streaking fighting in Roberts, who has won his last six professional bouts.
