Falls to Sage Northcutt via unanimous decision at UFC 200
WelterweightUFC
July 9, 2016
Marin lost to Sage Northcutt via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC 200 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Thought to be nothing more than cannon fodder entering this bout, Marin fought better than anyone could have expected. His best round was the second where he got Northcutt in a very deep armbar, but Sage was somehow able to escape and eventually take the judge's decision. Marin is now 0-2 in the UFC and he probably would have been looking at a release if he wasn't competitive in this fight, but this solid effort certainly earned him at least one more opportunity with the company.

Enrique Marin: Drops close TUF: Latin America welterweight final
WelterweightUFC
November 21, 2015
Marin lost to Erick Montano via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) in the Ultimate Fighter: Latin American welterweight final at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Monterrey, Mexico.
ANALYSIS
It was a close fight that could have gone either way. Montano had more experience in his corner, which analyst Brian Stann mentioned very well could have led him to the victory. Marin doesn't really have any upside, but he seems likely to get at least one more fight with the company.
