Drops decision against Henry Corrales at Bellator 192

Karakhanyan lost to Henry Corrales via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at Bellator 192 on Saturday in Inglewood, Calif.
This is a tough loss for Karakhanyan. He has always been a fighter who struggled against the highest level fighters, but against fighters like Corrales he would have the upper hand. However, he was a step behind his opponent in this fight and deserved the drop the decision. Since re-signing with Bellator in 2015, Karakhanyan has gone 4-4. This fight was reportedly the last fight on his Bellator contract, and he is now a free agent per MMAFighting.

Scores dubious cut stoppage over Daniel Pineda

Karakhanyan defeated Daniel Pineda via TKO (cut) at 4:05 of Round 2 at Bellator 182 on Friday in Verona, N.Y.
Karakhanyan did not deserve to win this fight. Pineda was winning this fight on the feet and on the ground. Late in the second round, the former WSOF champion landed an upkick that opened a cut on Pineda. The cut was not terrible, but the doctor decided to stop the fight and hand the victory to Karakhanyan.
Drops decision against Emmanuel Sanchez

Karakhanyan lost to Emmanuel Sanchez via majority decision (28-28, 28-27, 28-27) at Bellator 170 in Inglewood, Calif. on Saturday.
In the first round, Karakhanyan came out looking to grapple. He mostly held his opponent against the cage without scoring a takedown. Late in the round, Sanchez reversed the position and took the back. He worked for the choke at the bell, but he was not close. In the second round, Sanchez ended up on top and did solid work from the top. In an odd turn of events, both fighters landed illegal strikes to a grounded opponent. Karakhanyan scored the takedown in the final round. The former WSOF champion had won back-to-back fights over Bubba Jenkins and Kirill Medvedovski prior to this fight.
Continues hot run with first-round stoppage

Karakhanyan defeated Kirill Medvedovsky via TKO (Injury) at 3:40 of round 1 at Bellator 164 on Thursday in Tel Aviv, Israel
As expected, Karakhanyan was on another level in this fight. He came out and scored a takedown right away. From the top, he knifed through the guard with several passes. At one point, the former WSOF champion threatened with his signature guillotine choke, but Medvedovsky was able to defend and get back to his. Karakhanyan scored another takedown and started doing work on top. Medvedovsky appeared to injury his shoulder and signal the referee for the stoppage.
