Glaico Franca: Wins TUF: Brazil Lightweight Title At UFC 190 In Rio
LightweightUFC
August 1, 2015
Franca defeated Fernando Bruno via submission (rear naked choke) at 4:46 of Round 3 to win The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil lightweight title at UFC 190 on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro.
ANALYSIS
The bigger, stronger Franca got the better of what was primarily a clinch and ground battle. At 6-0 tall, Franca will be one of the bigger fighters in the UFC lightweight division. Franca was certainly the better fighter, but he was by no means dominant. What he does have on his side is age. At only 24-years old, Franca certainly can develop into a better fighter over time.
