Runs into a grinder

Bomba lost to David Rickels via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at Bellator 210 on Friday in Thackerville, Okla.
ANALYSIS
Bomba brought the fight to Rickels in this fight, but it was not enough. He tried to push the pace, but he could not hold his own in the clinch and on the ground. Rickels was stronger in those positions, and that was really the story of the fight. Bomba has been a middling fighter in Bellator, and that has continued with this fight. After this loss, he falls to 3-2 in the promotion.

Scores a highlight reel second-round KO

Vasconcelos defeated John Mercurio via TKO (punches) at 0:41 of Round 2 at Bellator 170 in Inglewood, Calif. on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
"Bomba" has been working on his striking and it showed off here. After relying on his grappling in the first round, he came out looking to strike in the second round. He set up an overhand right with a nice jab. The punch dropped his opponent and the finish came quickly after that. Since joining Bellator last year, he has picked up back to back finish victories and improved his professional record to 9-3.
