Hatsu Hioki: KO'ed By Daniel Hooker In Australia Saturday
Hioki lost to Daniel Hooker via KO at 4:13 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Adelaide, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Not good. Worried about Hooker's reach, Hioki elected to stand and strike with Hooker for the majority of the fight and in the end he paid for it. Hioki's striking actually looked pretty impressive but that isn't his game and he eventually got caught with a left high kick to the head. He was able to take Hooker down a couple times but he didn't do enough of what brought him to the dance. Once projected to be the UFC's next big star from Japan, Hioki has now lost five of his last six fights and it's possible that his UFC career is over.
