Struggles in unanimous decision loss to Alexa Grasso
strawweightUFC
November 5, 2016
Clark lost to Alexa Grasso via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
Clark never had a prayer of actually winning this fight, but she deserves a ton of credit for lasting the entire 15 minutes. Her team was reported considering throwing in the towel after she took a ton of damage in Round 1, but she rewarded their faith in letting her continue. Clark won her UFC debut against Bec Rawlings in December 2014, but she has since lost to Karolina Kowalkiewicz, who is going to challenge for the UFC Strawweight Championship next week, and Grasso. The 36-year-old isn't a UFC-caliber fighter, but the company may reward her willingness to step into the octagon with two of the best in the world on back-to-back occasions.

Clark lost to Karolina Kowalkiewicz via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Sunday in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
ANALYSIS
Clark actually fared far better than anyone could have reasonably expected, but she just didn't have the hand or foot speed to keep up with the talented Kowalkiewicz. The fact that Clark lasted the entire 15 minutes is a testament to her toughness and grit. She continued to push forward for the entire fight despite the fact she was losing virtually every striking exchange. Clark defeated Bec Rawlings at the TUF 20 finale in December 2014, her only other previous UFC fight. The 35-year-old Clark just doesn't have the athletic skills to keep up with younger fighters.
