Remains winless in UFC after loss Saturday
Light HeavyweightUFC
May 12, 2018
Bochnovic lost to Markus Perez via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:28 of Round 1 at UFC 224 on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro.
ANALYSIS
Realizing he was hopelessly outclassed, Bochnovic sprinted across the cage the second the opening bell rang. He managed to land a few shots before Perez quickly planted him on his back and that was all she wrote. The 29-year-old Bochnovic has now been stopped in both of his fights with the company and it is quite clear he doesn't possess the skills to compete in the best fighting organization in the world. It's highly unlikely he will get a third opportunity with the company.

James Bochnovic scores submission win in Bellator debut
Light HeavyweightUFC
March 31, 2017
Bochnovic defeated Matt Paul via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:30 of Round 1 at Bellator 175 on Friday in Chicago.
ANALYSIS
In theory, Bochnovic was at a grappling disadvantage in this fight. Paul came from a BJJ background and looked to finish the fight via submission. Bochnovic had the experience edge, and it showed. He was able to avoid Paul's early submission attempts. From there, he patiently waited to reverse position. Once he was on top, he caught Paul's neck and locked in the fight-ending rear-naked choke.
