Suffers second loss in three-month span
LightweightUFC
November 5, 2016
Novelli lost to Marco Polo Reyes via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
Novelli looked better than he did in his UFC debut against David Teymur in August, but he has now lost both of his fights with the company in a span of less than three months. With the UFC running more and more events these days, fighters like the 37-year-old Novelli are getting a chance with the company, but the vast majority of them just don't have the skills to compete in the best organization in the world. Novelli may not get a third chance with the company.

KO'd in UFC debut
LightweightUFC
August 7, 2016
Novelli lost to David Teymur via TKO (punches) at 1:25 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night 92 on Saturday in Salt Lake City.
ANALYSIS
Novelli made his UFC debut at the age of 37, and his third professional fight of 2016 did little to prove that he'll be back with the UFC any time soon. He brought a reach advantage to the Octagon, but was unable to make use of it, frequently getting caught inside by heavy shots from Teymur. He only managed three significant strikes over six-and-a-half minutes in the cage.
