J.C. Cottrell
Still looking for first UFC win after Saturday's loss
Cottrell lost to Jason Gonzalez via submission (Brabo choke) at 3:54 of Round 1 at UFC on FOX 23 on Saturday in Denver.
ANALYSIS
Technically, Cottrell looked better on Saturday than he did in his UFC debut last July, although not by much. He was able to score an early takedown and control Gonzalez for the majority of the short bout, but he allowed his opponent to grab a hold of his neck and score the submission win. After two fights with the company, it's clear that Cottrell is not a UFC-caliber fight.

Does nothing in UFC debut against Michel Prazeres
Cottrell lost to Michel Prazeres via unanimous decision (26-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC on FOX 20 on Saturday in Chicago.
ANALYSIS
It's safe to say that Cottrell's UFC debut didn't win him many new fans. Completely unable to deal with the brute strength of Prazeres, Cottrell spent much of the fight either on his back or being muscled up against the cage. He landed just seven significant strikes over the course of the 15-minute bout. It was truly a terrible debut. Fighters rarely get cut after one UFC appearance, but Cottrell could be a rare exception.
