Mickle lost to Anthony Giacchina via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:40 of Round 3 at Bellator 180 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Mickle needed to score a knockout to win this fight, and it did not come. Giacchina was the better wrestler with the stronger cardio. However, Mickle had the power to finish the fight. He staggered Giacchina twice in the first round and dropped his opponent in the second. However, Giacchina kept coming forward. In the third round, Giacchina scored a takedown, moved to the back and finished the fight. Mickle falls to 2-2 as a professional.
