Shows great chin in tough unanimous decision loss
Case was defeated by Tony Martin via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night 112 on Sunday in Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
This was a great fight. It was contested entirely on the feet, save for the final 20 seconds. Martin was probably outpointed in the first round, but he figured out Case's movement and beat him convincingly in the next two rounds. He held the center of the Octagon and was very effective with counter-punches and landed a ton of jabs. Martin rocked Case a few times, but Case's toughness was very impressive.

Set to meet Tony Martin in return fight
Case will face Tony Martin in a lightweight bout at UFC Fight Night 112 on June 25 at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Case hasn't stepped foot in a cage since his loss to Jake Matthews (rear-naked choke) in March 2016. He was slated to fight James Vick in February but withdrew with an undisclosed injury. Prior to his March loss, the 27-year-old started his UFC career 4-0 (22-5 overall) and has a 75 percent takedown defense, which he may need against Tony Martin, who has eight submission wins in his career.

Johnny Case: Choked out late by Jake Matthews in very close fight
Case lost to Jake Matthews via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:45 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Brisbane, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Case showed well in a fight between two of the better young fighters in the lightweight division. Case won the total strike battle by a count of 55-53, while he had 3:18 of top control time compared of just 1:17 for Matthews, Still, Case found himself facedown on the mat with less than 30 seconds to go and he eventually was forced to tap out. Had the fight gone to the judge's scorecards, it would have been interesting to see the result. It was Case's first UFC loss, but he should be proud of his performance. Case entered the UFC in September 2014 with little hype behind him, but he has developed into a far better fighter than anyone could have possibly imagined.

ANALYSIS
Case continues to string together impressive performances, but he is still a virtual unknown in the eyes of casual MMA fans. That will change if he is able to defeat Matthews. Case is 4-0 in the UFC and he hasn’t lost a fight since October 2010. A very intelligent fighter with an underrated all-around game. Case has the skills to spring the upset in hostile territory. At age-26, he is still young enough to show considerable growth on a fight-by-fight basis.

Johnny Case: Takes close decision from Yan Cabral Saturday in Brazil
Case defeated Yan Cabral via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Sao Paulo.
ANALYSIS
The judges valued Case's damage done on the feet more than Cabral's mat control time. Well aware of the potential of the takedown, Case was a bit more measured and methodical with his strikes, but he was the far better fighter on the feet. Case is still unknown amongst casual fans, but he is now 4-0 in the UFC and he's certain to get a bigger fight his next time out.

ANALYSIS
Case suffered a bad eye poke in Round 1 but he was able to recover and pick up the win. He didn't do a ton of damage on the feet, but he was able to land four takedowns and had nearly six minutes worth of top control. All in all, it was a nice effort. Case is now 3-0 in the UFC.
