Jonavin Webb

WelterweightUFC
February 21, 2016
Webb lost to Nathan Coy via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Sunday in Pittsburgh.
ANALYSIS
Webb's inability to get off of his back cost him this fight. It was clear that Webb was the far better athlete of the two competitors, but he struggled with the grappling abilities of Coy and although he got off to a quick start, Webb slowed noticeably as the fight progressed. Webb is now 0-2 in the UFC, although he hasn't embarrassed himself in either of the losses. It would be a mistake by the UFC brass if they don't give him another fight with the company.

Jonavin Webb: Suffers Controversial Loss To Kyle Noke Saturday
WelterweightUFC
May 9, 2015
Webb lost to Kyle Noke via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Adelaide, Australia.
ANALYSIS
It's a tough loss for Webb in a fight that most people think he won. He landed the only two takedowns of the fight and even though Noke won the overall striking battle (58-53), Webb appeared to land the harder and more effective shots. It was an especially promising effort considering that Webb took the fight on short notice and Noke looked like he was roughly twice Webb's size. Despite the loss, the 26-year-old New Jersey native looked awfully comfortable in his UFC debut.
