Gets run over at Bellator 194
FeatherweightBellator
February 16, 2018
Perez lost to Ty-wan Claxton via TKO (punches) at 3:39 of Round 2 at Bellator 194 on Friday in Uncasville, Conn.
ANALYSIS
Perez was fighting an uphill battle here. He seemed to be the smaller fighter, and he is certainly the less heralded prospect. He made a concerted effort to be defensive. He survived for more than a round, but he had very little offense in this fight. In the second round, he found himself stuck on the bottom eating strikes. The referee was forced to stop the fight. Perez falls to 0-2.

Struggles with distance in professional debut at Bellator 185
FeatherweightBellator
October 20, 2017
Perez lost to Kevin Carrier via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at Bellator 185 on Friday in Uncasville, Conn.
ANALYSIS
This was a tough fight for Perez. He was game, and he stayed in the fight. However, Carrier had a sizable reach advantage that gave Perez a lot of trouble. He tried to dodge the leading strike and land counters, but he did not have the head movement and ate too many strikes. He will need to work on his jab, so he can set up power strikes in the future.
