Gets contract despite weight miss
Scott defeated Kaushik Saikumar via TKO (punches) at 2:21 of Round 3 at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. After the show, he was one of five fighters to be awarded an official UFC contract.
ANALYSIS
It wasn't necessarily easy for for the (-375) betting favorite, as his grappling was put to the test on several occasions by Saikumar. However, he was clearly the fresher, better man by Round 3, outlanding his opponent 31-to-3 before finding the body shots that proved to be the beginning of the end. The 25-year-old, undefeated Brit did miss the bantamweight limit for this event, so it's a bit surprising to see him get the contract. He'll clearly have to correct that issue moving forward.
