WelterweightUFC
April 21, 2018
Chagas lost to Siyar Bahadurzada via KO (strikes) at 2:40 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Atlantic City.
ANALYSIS
Chagas was hanging around in what was a fairly even fight prior to the stoppage. He did a nice job of controlling Bahadurzada on the mat in Round 1, but a vicious liver kick and and one huge shot from Bahadurzada midway through Round 2 turned Chagas' lights out. The 24-year-old Brazilian entered the UFC undefeated in May 2016, but he has won just once in four fights (1-2, 1NC) with the company.

Chagas (foot) will face off against Siyar Bahadurzada on April 21 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Chagas was unable to compete against Niko Price during their scheduled fight in October at UFC Sao Paulo because of a foot fracture that he sustained during training camp. Prior to that misfortune, he defeated Jim Wallhead via submission (rear-naked choke) in June to earn his first win in the promotion. Bahadurzada comes in having topped Rob Wilkinson during his previous bout in September, which marked his first fight since March of 2016.

Chagas will face Niko Price in a welterweight bout at UFC Fight Night 119 on October 28 in Sao Paulo, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Chagas' UFC career started poorly with a draw followed by a loss and a fractured fibula. However, he landed his first win in June over Jim Wallhead (read-naked choke) and is looking to add to it. In those three outings, "Tarzan" did manage to keep a 100 percent takedown defense. At age 24, he has a 15-2-1 record (1-1-1 UFC) with nine submission wins and has yet to go the distance in his career.

Chagas defeated Jim Wallhead via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:48 of Round 2 at UFC 212 on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro.
ANALYSIS
Easy work. Chagas, who turns 24 years old next week, bounced back nicely from a September loss to Erick Silva. He flattened the overmatched Wallhead with a hook late in Round 2 before clamping on the rear-naked choke that ended the fight. The victory was the sixth submission win over Chagas' career.
